Amazing and Transformational Presence of God in People's Lives

doug carter 2025Global Teacher, Author, Missionary, and Servant Leader

Dr. Doug Carter is a globally respected Christian leader, teacher, and author whose ministry has impacted lives in more than 100 countries. With a lifelong passion for discipleship and spiritual formation, he has dedicated his life to equipping the global Church to lead with humility, vision, and a heart for God's mission.

Today, he continues to invest in global ministry as the President of Step Forward Ministries, a teaching and mentoring organization focused on raising up spiritually mature leaders worldwide. Whether training pastors, speaking at conferences, or developing discipleship strategies, Dr. Carter’s leadership has left a lasting mark on churches, mission fields, and ministries across the globe.

Previously, Dr. Carter held the role of Vice-President with World Gospel Mission (WGM), where he helped shape global strategies for cross-cultural ministry and leadership training. His experience with WGM continues to influence his work as a mentor to missionaries and ministry leaders worldwide. He not only served in executive leadership but he and his wife also lived and served as a missionary at Southwest Indian School in Arizona for 16 years. There, he ministered among Native American communities, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of cross-cultural service and leadership development.

Despite his far-reaching influence, Dr. Carter's heart beats strongly for Taylor County Holiness Camp in Georgia. His involvement spans decades, and he served as Camp President for 25 years. Under his guidance, the camp deepened its commitment to the message of heart holiness and became a place of revival, spiritual renewal, and generational impact.

Dr. Carter’s devotion to Taylor County Camp is not merely professional—it is personal and lifelong. His faithful preaching, mentoring, and prayerful leadership have shaped the camp’s culture and vision. He has poured into generations of believers, helping them encounter the transforming power of Christ in an environment rich with worship, holiness teaching, and Christian fellowship.

He is also the author of Big Picture People, a stirring call for Christians to live with eternal perspective and Kingdom purpose. Whether in a tabernacle, a classroom, or a mission field, Dr. Doug Carter lives out his calling with grace, wisdom, and a relentless pursuit of God's glory.
